Position Overview: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist
The Université du Québec is on the lookout for a skilled professional to take on the role of Mechanical Maintenance Specialist. This position is essential for the installation, inspection, upkeep, and repair of various machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct installation, inspection, and repair of mechanical components and systems
- Perform modifications and alignments to enhance equipment functionality
- Execute sheet metal work for the repair and enhancement of machinery
- Assemble mechanical parts utilizing bolts, pins, rivets, and screws
- Utilize lathes and specialized tools for precise mechanical tasks
The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in industrial mechanics along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. A site mechanic qualification certificate and a valid driver's license are also prerequisites for this role.
