The role of a Construction Site Laborer involves a variety of tasks essential for the successful completion of construction projects. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Key Responsibilities- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport various construction materials efficiently.
- Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, and barricades as required.
- Material Mixing: Mix, pour, and spread materials including concrete and asphalt.
- Assistance in Operations: Support the medical examiner and assist in drilling and blasting activities on-site.
- Framing and Construction: Aid in framing houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs.
- Site Preparation: Level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
- Asphalt Work: Pave and rake asphalt surfaces.
- Demolition Support: Assist in the demolition of buildings as needed.
- Material Cleanup: Clean and organize salvaged materials and manage chemical spills or contaminants.
- Equipment Operation: Tend to machines or equipment utilized in construction processes.
- Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
- Employment Duration: This is a permanent position.
- Work Language: Proficiency in English is necessary.
- Work Hours: Expected to work between 35 to 40 hours per week.
