Job Summary

**Job Title:** Labourer 2 - Construction and Maintenance

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Labourer 2 to join our team in the Water Operations, Maintenance and Construction division. The successful candidate will perform a variety of semi-skilled manual tasks, including installation, repair, and servicing of waterworks systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual labour tasks in the installation, repair, and servicing of waterworks systems
  • Locate and repair leaks, install taps, and perform pipe installation
  • Conduct water system maintenance and construction work
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools used in water maintenance and construction work
  • Work in all weather conditions and perform heavy manual outdoor work
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Experience in general construction and maintenance work
  • Knowledge of safety equipment and practices methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in water related construction and maintenance work
  • Ability to perform a variety of semi-skilled manual tasks requiring the use of some independent judgement and action
  • Skill in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in water maintenance and construction work
  • Sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination to permit the performance of heavy manual outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Valid Driver's License for the Province of British Columbia
