Become a Certified Snow Instructor at Sasquatch Mountain Resort

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our Snow School Apprenticeship program, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel as a certified ski or snowboard instructor. This immersive experience offers hands-on training and mentorship, guiding you towards professional development in the winter sports industry.

Program Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Training: Participate in on-snow training sessions led by experienced instructors, focusing on refining your skiing or snowboarding techniques to meet the rigorous standards of the Canadian Ski Instructor's Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) Level 1 certifications.
  • Valuable Mentorship: Shadow certified instructors during lessons, gaining invaluable insights into teaching methodologies and best practices for instructing children and young adults aged 6-15 years old.
  • Practical Experience: Fulfill your volunteer hours by assisting with our group and multi-week programs, applying your skills in a real-world setting and developing your confidence as an instructor.

Program Requirements:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in parallel skiing or comfortable linking snowboard turns.
  • Possess a genuine interest in teaching children and young individuals.
  • Be willing to participate in a virtual or in-person meeting with the Snow School manager/supervisor.
  • Exhibit punctuality and effective communication skills.

Important Notes:

Please note that CSIA and CASI booking and fees are the responsibility of the participant. It is expected that applicants will have scheduled their examination prior to commencing the apprenticeship program.
