We are seeking a skilled Gasfitter Specialist to join our team at Cooper Equipment Rentals in Lethbridge, AB.

About the Role:

As a Gasfitter Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining gas lines and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and inspect gas lines and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems on-site, in the shop, or over the phone, using strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Test, replace, or certify defective equipment, and perform annual inspections and service repairs on construction heaters.
  • Advise clients on safety features and maintenance of gas units, and accurately document all service and repair information.
  • Complete daily hazard assessments and circle checks on equipment, and deliver/pick-up small equipment as required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and adhere to company Health and Safety Policies.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Gas Fitter with "A" ticket.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, ideally working with temporary heaters.
  • Considerable knowledge of designing and installing temporary heating systems at construction sites using natural gas, propane, and diesel equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and diagnose heating equipment issues, and knowledge of safety regulations and codes.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license and satisfactory abstract, and a complete set of tools.
  • Ability to work overtime and on an on-call rotation, and flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
