About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Steel Drafter-Designer to join our team at Global Lions Consulting Company Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings for structural steel fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and prepare design sketches and drawings for structural steel fabrication projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements and specifications
  • Train new drafting personnel and provide guidance on design and drafting best practices
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and specifications
  • Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates
  • Write technical reports and specifications
  • Estimate costs and materials for structural steel fabrication projects
  • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
Requirements
  • Civil engineering technology (CVT) certification
  • Steel detailing certification
  • Proficiency in Tekla, AutoCAD, and MS Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in structural steel fabrication and detailing
  • Knowledge of construction and electro-mechanical drafting
  • Ability to travel and work on-site
