Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed therapist, the Rehabilitation Assistant provides support to residents/patients in a residential care setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for residents/patients.
  • Participate in activities of daily living, including assisting with self-care, meal management, and mobility.
  • Provide support with fabrication of splints and adaptive devices, as well as modification of patient clothing and eating utensils.
  • Report observations and progress to the care team, and maintain accurate records and statistics.
  • Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
