Job Title: Machinist - CNC Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist - CNC Specialist to join our team at OmniCoil Spring Works Inc. in General Manufacturing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machine tools, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and maintaining precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools to produce high-precision parts
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts to ensure accurate production
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
  • Set up and dismantle equipment, and select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist
  • Perform preventive maintenance and enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for CNC machine tools
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in CNC machining or a related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma in a related field
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
