About the Role:

Federated Co-operatives Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Agronomist to join our team. As a key member of our Agro team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance crop yields and improve agricultural practices, aligning with the company's vision and mission.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders, including the Agro Manager, to support business development and expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on business opportunities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Lead field tours, informational meetings, and trials to showcase our products and services, and build strong relationships with internal and external professionals.
  • Participate in project planning and analysis, providing strategic advice and support to drive business growth and success.
  • Mitigate risk and liability by ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical expertise in agronomy and crop development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on driving business growth and success.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in written and verbal communication.

Reporting Structure:

This role reports to the Humboldt Agro Manager.
