Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Specialist to join our team in Montreal, QC. As a key member of our Technology & Systems department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting our global network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale network migrations and BAU network support during NA hours
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and support all networks required for Vantage Corporate, Security Management Systems, and Building Management Systems
  • Create and implement standard processes and procedures to support Service Level Agreements for network uptime, reliability, service, and performance
  • Assist in the specification, ordering, purchasing, asset-tracking, and inventory of network-related equipment/supplies/software
  • Maintain the network infrastructure globally, highlighting and recording issues identified, creating action plans to resolve
  • Work closely with cybersecurity to ensure we are following policies and best practices to secure and harden the network
  • Lead and own large-scale projects by creating effective project plans, leveraging internal tools to provide accurate and timely updates to stakeholders
Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive network engineering experience with multi-site global networks supporting highly transactional and highly sensitive data applications
  • Data Center experience is required
  • Expert-level troubleshooting LANs (layer 2 networks), fault finding and isolation, understanding of technologies such as Spanning Tree, Port channels, Stacking, etc.
  • Strong experience with firewalls, policies, VPNs, general concepts, understanding of advanced inspection and filtering techniques
  • Experience working on network migrations, creating project plans, managing multiple projects, and delivering according to deadlines
  • Proficiency in network design and architecture
  • Participation in an on-call rota would be required
