Okanagan College is in search of a Culinary Support Specialist to become a part of our dynamic team on an on-call basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and organization in meal preparation areas, performing regular maintenance checks on kitchen appliances, assisting in food preparation, managing stock levels, and more. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience and completion of Grade 12 is required for this position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication abilities, the skill to prioritize tasks effectively, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory levels and procure food and supplies as needed
  • Ensure kitchen spaces are kept clean and orderly
  • Assist in food preparation and washing dishes
  • Receive and properly store deliveries
  • Maintain supplier catalogues and inventory documentation
  • Administer first aid to colleagues and students when necessary

Educational Background:

Completion of Grade 12 is required.
