This role involves working on a variety of heavy equipment, including Hydrovacs, Combo trucks, and more, with a focus on preventative maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various heavy equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and after-treatment systems.
  • Handle hydraulic and PTO systems diagnostics and repairs.
  • Manage clutches, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Repair vacuum pumps and blowers.
  • Conduct burner diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform Commercial Vehicle Inspections.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and replace or repair defective components.
  • Interpret work orders accurately.
  • Collaborate with apprentices and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Class 1 or 3 driver's license is an asset.
  • CVIP certification or ability to obtain it.
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is preferred.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Personal tools are required for the position.

  • Familiarity with Cummins, CAT, and John Deere engines is advantageous.
