Job Summary

Jagged Edge Enterprises Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles
    • Drive a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials
    • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
    • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Load and Unload Goods
    • Load and unload goods from the trailer
    • Ensure cargo is properly secured and protected during transport
  • Communicate with Dispatch and Other Stakeholders
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
    • Communicate with other stakeholders, such as customers and colleagues, to ensure smooth transportation operations
  • Maintain Records and Reports
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
    • Complete maintenance and repair reports as required
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Air Brakes Endorsement
    • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Experience as a truck driver is an asset
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
    • Ability to sit for extended periods
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

Jagged Edge Enterprises Ltd offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will also be required to travel extensively, including cross-border trips.
