Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

CIMA+ is seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Montreal or Quebec City. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects and industrial structural studies. Your expertise will be utilized at various levels of responsibility, from small to large regional, provincial, and national projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement structural design solutions for complex projects
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  3. Conduct site visits and attend design meetings to ensure project quality and safety
  4. Lead and coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and draftsmen assigned to projects
  5. Ensure coordination between stakeholders and provide technical support to customers
  6. Develop and manage project schedules and finances
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent, specializing in structures.

Membership: Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

Experience: 10+ years' experience in structural design (steel, concrete, and wood)

Skills: Ability to work on different projects simultaneously, strong leadership and communication skills

Software: Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written French and English;

Certificates: Construction site health and safety certificate (ASP card)
