Job Summary

Crombie is seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance Lead to oversee the efficient and effective management of a portfolio of properties in the GTA and surrounding area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operations and maintenance duties, ensuring the upkeep of properties and adherence to safety standards.
  • Travel frequently to visit properties within the portfolio, conducting site visits and inspections as needed.
  • Supervise building operations and contract staff, delegating tasks and following up on progress.
  • Assist with annual operations and capital project budgeting, ensuring accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs, including general maintenance, plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, and life safety systems.
  • Ensure maintenance and preventative maintenance schedules are maintained, with regular monitoring and reporting.
  • Obtain pricing and scheduling for work order requests, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Support occupational health and safety and environmental programs at the property level, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Monitor third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with contracted services and quality standards.
  • Manage Yardi work order and purchase order tasks, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  • Conduct monthly inspections of properties, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action.
  • Monitor performance and repair costs for Voyager Fixed Asset module, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of maintenance-related experience and knowledge of building operations.
  • Completion of formal education and real estate and/or property management are considered strong assets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Computer skills to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • General knowledge in areas such as waste treatment, water distribution systems, fire pumps, HVAC systems, and occupational health and safety standards.
