About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our team at Kelowna Gymnastix. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will be responsible for leading our competitive programs and developing and implementing training and practice sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan, develop, and implement training and practice sessions to enhance athlete performance and achieve team goals.
  • Team Management: Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games, and analyze and evaluate their performance.
  • Coaching: Teach gymnastics techniques and skills to athletes, and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Communication: Co-ordinate work activities with other departments, and understand principles of group dynamics.
  • Attendance: Attend scheduled practice and training sessions, and participate in team meetings and events.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a coaching or sports development role.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
