Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Masonry Specialist to join our team at ROLL STONE GRANITE COUNTERTOP INC.. This role involves working with various masonry materials to create durable and aesthetically pleasing structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Preparation: Prepare and position bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units.
  • Construction: Lay bricks and stones to create veneer facings and construct prefabricated masonry units.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret sketches and blueprints to determine material requirements.
  • Precision Cutting: Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to meet specifications using both hand and power tools.
  • Chimney and Fireplace Installation: Construct residential and commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
  • Industrial Masonry: Lay radial bricks for industrial chimney shells and install firebricks in smokestacks.
  • Refractory Work: Line furnaces and kilns with appropriate materials to ensure durability and safety.
Work Environment

This position is physically demanding and requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in masonry.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
