Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Officer to join our team at the Canadian Armed Forces. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, educating, and treating military personnel for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop treatment plans for a variety of orthopaedic, cardio-respiratory, neuro-musculoskeletal, and sports physiotherapy issues.
  • Provide advice and guidance on worksite assessments, industrial ergonomics, injury prevention, health promotion, sports injury education, and pre-deployment education.
  • Work in a typical clinical environment using manual therapy and soft-tissue techniques, as well as physical agents such as cold, heat, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, and electrotherapy modalities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the military healthcare team to maintain and enhance the operational readiness of Canadian Armed Forces members.
  • Deploy on operations and work in temporary facilities to support the work of other members of the Health Services team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a licensed Physiotherapist in Canada and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
