Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operator Instructor to join our team at the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. As a key member of our Moncton District, you will play a vital role in providing instruction and training to operators on the proper operation and maintenance of heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct incident investigations and provide written reports to management
- Develop and deliver training programs in both classroom and field settings
- Evaluate operator performance and provide feedback
- Perform vehicle maintenance audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- At least six years of experience in operating heavy equipment, including tandem trucks, backhoes, loaders, graders, and light vehicles
- Possession of a valid Class 1 Driver's License with an air brakes endorsement
- Knowledge of Legislative Acts related to the position
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Successful completion of an approved Heavy Equipment Operators course
- Registration as a PDIC Instructor or equivalent
- Experience in snowplowing operations
- A competitive salary of $26.74 per hour
