About the Role

Saskdocs is seeking a skilled Medical Oncologist to join our team. As a member of our oncology team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with cancer, working collaboratively with nurses, pharmacists, radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with various types of cancer, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in clinical trials and research studies to advance cancer care and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Teach and mentor medical students and residents to ensure the next generation of healthcare professionals is well-equipped to provide excellent care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine degree with subspecialty training in internal medicine and medical oncology.
  • Preferred candidates will have obtained or be in the final stages of obtaining Fellowship standing in medical oncology.
  • Experience working with a variety of tumor sites is considered an asset.
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
  • Eligibility for membership and privileges with the Saskatoon Health Region.
  • Criminal record check and CMPA coverage or equivalent.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English.
