Senior Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview:
As a Senior Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer at Faire, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust machine learning systems that drive our marketplace's efficiency. Your expertise will help us innovate and refine our product offerings, ensuring that we deliver exceptional value to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable machine learning solutions that serve the entire organization, including:
- Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS)
- A comprehensive feature store for both batch and real-time feature computation, serving, and monitoring
- Deep learning frameworks that support our language and image processing models
- Model prediction services for effective model deployment, inference, and monitoring
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve machine learning development challenges
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior machine learning engineers and interns
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the team and its growth
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing production-grade machine learning systems or platform components
- A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python or Java
- Experience with backend system architectures, particularly microservices
- Solid understanding of engineering best practices and the machine learning software development lifecycle
Compensation:
The salary range for this position in Canada is between $167,000 and $230,000 annually, with additional equity and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and market conditions.
