Position: Analyst, Process & Controls
Primaris REIT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst, Process & Controls to enhance our operations at our Head Office. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in ERP systems, financial reporting controls, and a passion for process improvement in a vibrant work environment.
As the Analyst, Process & Controls, your primary responsibilities will include offering comprehensive support to users of our ERP solutions (Yardi), conducting training sessions, and assisting in the management of the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) program. You will also engage in various process review initiatives throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct ongoing training sessions for new and existing users of ERP systems, including both group and individual training formats.
- Serve as the main point of contact for ERP-related inquiries, troubleshooting operational challenges reported through the ERP IT helpdesk.
- Facilitate annual budget training sessions focused on ERP functionalities.
- Deliver targeted training for all users, covering essential skills such as navigation and report generation.
- Update and maintain ERP reference materials and user guides.
- Collaborate with process owners to ensure ICFR documentation is current and accurate.
- Assist in the testing of ICFR controls and coordinate efforts with external consultants.
- Provide advisory support to process and control owners to address operational challenges and audit findings.
- Work closely with the Manager of Corporate Property Administration on process documentation and internal control assessments.
- Support Finance Coordinators with monthly reconciliations and audit packages as needed.
- Act as a backup for Revenue Administrators and Senior Property Administrators to ensure business continuity.
- Assist the IT ERP team with data conversion, validation, and testing as required.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of ERP systems and internal controls. If you find this opportunity appealing, you likely have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Certification in teaching or training is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in a system administration capacity.
- 3-5 years of experience in property administration.
- Experience in internal auditing and real estate is a plus.
- Proficient in using ERP systems, particularly Yardi.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio).
- Experience with process reviews and internal control testing is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
