Job Title: Financial Manager, Fraud Financial

BMO is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team in the Fraud Financial department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial expertise and guidance to support the management of the business/group, ensuring alignment with Group/enterprise goals and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial advice and support to assigned business/group, assessing financial performance and condition.
  • Work towards building advanced understanding of Fraud Financial and Management reporting at enterprise-wide level to provide insight on challenges to EFM Senior Leadership Teams and Head of Fraud.
  • Present financial results in Fraud Senior Leadership meetings and act as a trusted financial advisor by providing insights on financial results with various groups under EFM and Finance.
  • Recommend and implement financial management solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Work with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts/plans and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans; assessment of opportunities; determines the financial impact of initiatives/strategic decisions.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide financial-related insights and recommendations.
  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Act as liaison between stakeholders in order to align agendas and ensure a clear understanding of the business context.
  • Support development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track financial performance and address any issues.
  • Manage the coordination & analysis of financial and operational highlights of the business; work with others service teams to deliver reporting, planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Coordinate financial governance, compliance and attestation reporting as necessary.
  • Review financial information for reasonableness and highlight/escalate areas of interest or concern.
  • Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  • Build change management plans of varying scope and type; lead or participate in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accounting designation (CPA) preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of Financial systems i.e.: SmartView, S4.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.
  • Data driven decision making - In-depth.
  • Advanced MS Excel required i.e. Use, Create and Modify Macros required.
  • Strong knowledge of Fraud software systems is an asset.
  • Strong Attention to detail, ability to work with multiple competing priorities required.
  • Strong Financial Skills: Fraud Losses, Forecasting Analysis, NIX, Financials, etc. required.
  • Strong PowerPoint required.
  • Strong Data Integrity and Due Diligence required.
