Job Summary

The Flat Deck Driver is a critical role at Gardewine, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe transportation of goods across Canada. As an Owner Operator/Company Driver, you will be the face of our company, representing our values and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a wide range of freight, including general commodities and specialized equipment
  • Operate a flat deck trailer, ensuring proper loading and securing of cargo
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and trailer are in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Meet or exceed productivity and safety standards, adhering to company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • A valid Class 1/AZ driver's license in good standing
  • At least 2 years of experience in flat deck driving, with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, as well as work in a fast-paced environment
