Component Quality Inspector

This role involves specialized technical duties focused on the examination and assessment of components within the repair cycle. A qualified Detail Inspector will possess the skills necessary to execute various tasks related to the evaluation of components for their acceptance or the need for further work.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct dimensional measurements on components to confirm adherence to specified limits and tolerances utilizing a CMM and relevant software. Perform scheduled maintenance on inspection equipment as part of the preventative maintenance program. Support technicians with work order inquiries to ensure components are accurately repaired. Amend erroneous work orders and submit revisions to engineering for updates. Provide final approval of repaired components prior to reassembly. Re-identify components to meet the required part number status in accordance with DWI standards. Execute thorough visual and dimensional inspections of individual parts as dictated by the inspection level outlined in overhaul or maintenance manuals, Detailed Work Instructions (DWI), or Engineering Repair Instructions (ERI). Initiate repair work orders and select appropriate repair schemes for components designated for subcontracting or in-house repair. Verify Service Bulletin (SB) status of components per DWI guidelines. Order new parts as needed or arrange for existing parts to be reworked to meet new SB standards. Undertake additional duties as necessary to maintain departmental efficiency.Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in the inspection of Gas Turbine engine components. Proficient in computer use, particularly with Microsoft Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Excellent visual acuity, meeting the minimum eye test standards as defined by OEM requirements.Work Environment
Candidates should be prepared for the following aspects of the role:
The physical capability to safely handle all parts requiring processing (utilizing available hoists, etc.) without risking personal injury or damage to the components. Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, and shifts as required. Compliance with established safety regulations and dress code.
