Senior Audit Manager

The Senior Audit Manager is a senior-level management position responsible for overseeing a complex and critical unit within Internal Audit at Citigroup Inc. The primary objective of this role is to develop and execute a robust Audit Plan, and direct complex audit activities for a component of the business at a regional or country level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Internal Audit professionals, recruit staff, and manage their professional development, ensuring effective team management and budget oversight.
- Deliver high-quality audit reports, Internal Audit and Regulatory issue validation, and business monitoring and governance committee reports.
- Oversee reviews for all types of reviews, including the most complex, and review and approve Business Monitoring Quarterly Summaries.
- Participate in major business initiatives and proactively advise and assist the business on change initiatives, ensuring alignment with Citigroup's goals.
- Implement integrated auditing concepts and technology, and stay up-to-date with trends in the Audit field, adapting them for the Audit function.
- Analyze report findings, and recommend interventions where needed, proposing creative and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues.
- Partner with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for addressing broader corporate emerging issues, ensuring a proactive and risk-aware culture.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for Citigroup's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a related role, preferably in Internal Audit or a similar field.
- Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or similar) are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated successful experience in business, functional, and people management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Proven ability to execute concurrently on a portfolio of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement and innovation in audit tools and techniques, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Master's degree is highly desirable.
