We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at Gurmish Painting. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing and finishing tile surfaces in a variety of settings.

• Mix and Apply Adhesives: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces.
• Prepare Plans and Sketches: Develop rough plans and sketches to visualize and communicate tile layouts and designs to colleagues and clients.
• Set Tiles in Place: Carefully set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and even installation.
• Align and Straighten Tiles: Align and straighten tiles to achieve a precise and aesthetically pleasing installation.
• Cut and Fit Tiles: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools to minimize waste and ensure a seamless finish.
• Instruct and Supervise: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure that tile installations meet our high standards.
• Remove and Replace Tiles: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles to maintain the integrity and appearance of our installations.
• Lay and Set Mosaic Tiles: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs that exceed client expectations.
• Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for tile installations to ensure accurate budgeting and planning.
• Mix, Lay, and Polish Terra Surfaces: Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces to achieve a durable and attractive finish.

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in tile setting or a related field.
• Work Language: English.
• Work Term: Permanent.
• Hours: 35 hours per week.
