Key Responsibilities- Cutting and Preparing Meat: Clean and cut meats to prepare for processing or cutting, and prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
- Meat Processing: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, and wrap and package prepared meats.
- Meat Handling: Remove bones from meat, weigh meats for sale, and cut poultry into parts.
- Customer Service: Price meat products, sell meats to customers, and provide excellent customer service.
- Team Leadership: Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers, and prepare special orders.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and be able to stand for extended periods.
- Physical Demands: Be physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Attention to Detail: Have attention to detail, and be able to work under pressure.
- Language: Work in English, and have a strong understanding of the language.
- Hours: Work 30 hours per week, and be available to work a variety of shifts.
