Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at Emterra Group. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to written instructions and established procedures.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisition new parts.
  • Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/Worksafe Standards.
  • Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work and review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Certified Red Seal Diesel Mechanic is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Class 3 Driver's Licence or higher is an asset.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check consisting of an MTO medical/drug test, criminal history search, license verification, and employment confirmation.
