About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck and Transport Service Technician to join our team at Spar-Marathon Roofing Supplies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our commercial transport fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of parts and components.
  • Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions, and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed to manufacturer specifications and meets our high standards for quality and safety.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including problems encountered and solutions implemented.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
