Emergency Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Red Deer Regional Hospital. As a member of our department, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse community practice with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, part-time, or locum opportunity for a certified Emergency Medicine Physician. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our busy regional trauma centre, seeing approximately 55,000 patients annually. Our department is well-supported by a range of specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, and more.

We are a vibrant and dynamic department with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork. Our team includes physician assistants, social workers, and other allied health professionals who work together to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
About Red DeerRed Deer is a vibrant city with a wide range of activities, green spaces, and cultural attractions. Our city has an extensive riverside trail system and is close to several national parks, including Banff and Jasper. We are located halfway between Calgary and Edmonton, making it easy to access major airports and other amenities.
Requirements- Certified or eligible for CCFP(EM) or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification
- Completed or currently enrolled in an Emergency Medicine residency program (in Canada preferred)
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
