About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Aviso Investment Advisor to join our team at Kawartha Credit Union Ltd. As an Aviso Investment Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, helping them achieve their financial goals, and building a strong book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service an established membership base and existing book of business, with opportunities for transition of an existing book of business.
  • Acquire new clients through business development activities to build portfolio.
  • Conduct personal interviews with clients, identify individual clients' needs and goals, develop an appropriate financial plan, and make recommendations.
  • Provide clients with retirement planning, investment counseling, estate planning, and life and insurance services.
  • Sell critical illness insurance and long-term care benefits and provide service in this area.
  • Create and maintain client files, and reports on activities to Kawartha Credit Union Ltd Senior Manager of Wealth.
  • Promote the credit union's investment and insurance services through the Aviso program in the community.
  • Provide support where possible to Credit Union staff on wealth management products.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education with emphasis in financial planning or management would be preferred.
  • Level II Life License.
  • IRROC License.
  • Financial Planning Designation (i.e. CFP, CLU, Ch.F.C., CIM).
  • Minimum of two years of industry experience as a Financial Planner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships.
  • Strong sales and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
