Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our winter maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a combo plow unit to perform snow removal on local roads and highways. Your duties will include:
- Operating a combo plow unit to clear snow and ice from roads and highways
- Maintaining accurate documentation, including fuel reports, safety reports, and hours of service
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Familiarizing yourself with route maps and sand/salt application rates
- Meeting call-in requirements during winter storm events
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A DZ license with a clean driver's abstract
- Availability to respond to call-ins within thirty minutes
- Ability to operate a loader and perform other maintenance duties
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
We are looking for candidates with:
- Ability to drive manual transmission
- Previous experience in winter-works operations
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs
- Good understanding of MTO standards and AMC Contract Performance Requirements
