POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting various aspects of production, including the feeding and overall care of swine, ensuring herd health and optimal living conditions, as well as performing pressure washing and room preparation. Additional responsibilities will encompass general maintenance, cleaning, and clerical tasks such as maintaining door charts, inventory management, and ordering feed and medications. This role requires collaboration within a team to achieve specific production objectives while adhering to health and safety regulations and following Maple Leaf Foods' Standard Operating Procedures regarding the humane treatment of animals.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
Willingness and eagerness to learn; strong teamwork and interpersonal abilitiesSelf-driven with the capability to work independently with minimal oversightPositive work ethic and attitude, with a keen attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneouslyCapability to lift 25kgA valid driver's license and reliable transportation to a rural work location are requiredAvailability for weekend, holiday hours, and alarm response on a rotational basisExperience in hog production is considered an asset
