Job Title: Health Standards Surveyor - Patient Partnerships

We are seeking a Health Standards Surveyor - Patient Partnerships to join our team at Healthstandards. As a Surveyor, you will play a critical role in assessing the quality of health organizations against standards of care and identifying opportunities for improvement.

About the Role:
  • Conduct on-site surveys as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to assess the quality of programs and services against standards of excellence.
  • Share your experience and provide guidance on best practices in the field to help organizations deliver care in a culturally responsive manner.
  • Use your lived experiences to help organizations deliver care in a culturally safe and humble manner.
  • Participate in initial training and complete ongoing learning requirements to stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • First Nations, Inuit, and/or Métis person with significant and recent experience accessing and/or using health and/or social services.
  • Experience working with healthcare clinicians and/or administrators as a Patient Partner/advisor on quality improvement planning initiatives in health and/or social services for front-line organizations.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills, including strong writing skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience.
  • Ability to analyze information and draw conclusions based on direct observation and document review.
  • Strong technology skills, including the ability to operate a computer and use web-based software.
