About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our team at Nijjar Rebar & Stucco Ltd. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe and efficient construction processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to support construction activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Perform job-site calculations to ensure accurate and efficient construction processes.
  • Signal crane operators to position units according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Align, weld, or bolt units in place to ensure structural integrity and safety.
  • Dismantle metal, pre-cast concrete, or laminated timber buildings and other structures to facilitate construction activities.
  • Inspect or test structures and equipment for deterioration, defects, or failure to comply with specifications or regulations.
  • Position and secure steel bars or metal mesh in concrete forms to reinforce concrete structures.
  • Unload and position steel units to facilitate hoisting and installation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and handling heavy loads.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Personal Qualities and Skills
  • Dependability and reliability are crucial for this role, as you will be working independently and as part of a team.
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
