Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Ontario Grove Healthcare & Wellness Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and attractive meals and supplements for our residents, while ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical: Prepare meals and supplements in a timely manner, adhering to Federal, State, and Corporate requirements.
  • Administrative: Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services, and attend meetings and in-services as required.
  • Consumer Service: Present a professional image to consumers through dress, behavior, and speech, and ensure all patient/resident rights are protected.
Requirements
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
  • Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.
