Key Responsibilities
  • Study market reports, trade publications, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our wholesale outlets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Review business requirements and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, taking into account factors such as market demand, competition, and product life cycles.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring high-quality products that meet our brand standards.
  • Supervise the work of other buyers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful procurement outcomes.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay informed about new products and industry developments.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in wholesale procurement or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of computer and technology applications, including spreadsheet software (e.g., MS Excel).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
