Job Summary

University Health Network is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Facilities Management team at Toronto General Hospital. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly
  • Identify and report any electrical hazards or defects
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople and facilities staff to ensure smooth operation of facilities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent electrical accidents and injuries

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
  • Valid certification as an Electrician in the province of Ontario
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
