We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Howard Johnson by Wyndham. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Cut and trim meats to meet customer specifications
- Wrap and package prepared meats for storage and display
- Remove bones from meat and cut poultry into parts
- Clean and prepare fish and shellfish for cooking
- Grind meats and slice cooked meats for serving
- Prepare special orders and shape, lace, and tie roasts and other meats
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience in a food preparation or butchery environment an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week in a large restaurant and hotel environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and maintain a clean and safe working area.
