About the Role

Ubisoft is seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join its IT Games Services team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our games and the overall player experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support game production environments by leveraging cloud solutions and developing tools and services for those solutions.
  • Implement DevOps best practices and develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development process.
  • Automate recurrent tasks through scripting to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability, and service quality.
  • Troubleshoot emergencies and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Participate in post-mortem and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Online Developers and Live Operations to deploy new features and updates.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to user queries and service requests in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of DevOps, automation, and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Chef, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, ArgoCD, and GitLab.
  • Proficient knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and scripting languages.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as ELK, Prometheus, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases: MongoDB, MySQL, and Postgres.
