Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Canadian Accounting Consultants. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of business unit month-end close and related deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of business unit month-end close and related deliverables
  • Partner with the Controller on major initiatives
  • Drive automation of processes and improve utilization of systems
  • Develop productive relationships across other business unit finance teams
  • Ensure transactions are compliant with IFRS accounting standards
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and recommend improvements

Requirements:

  • Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA)
  • 7+ years of progressive experience, including a minimum of 3 years coaching/leading a team
  • Practical experience of accounting deliverables in industry, ideally in a large-scale/public company/IFRS environment
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation, including process improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
