Job Title: Documentation Center Technician
Company: Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board
The primary responsibilities of a Documentation Center Technician include organizing and operating documentation centers such as libraries or document management centers. This role involves providing technical assistance to staff and center users.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and categorize documents received or acquired in the center
- Update classification systems and ensure compliance with filing procedures
- Train users on document classification, center procedures, and software
- Facilitate document loans, respond to user inquiries, and prepare documents
- Assist in document evaluation, selection, conservation, and disposal
- Manage budget, document purchases, and subscriptions
- Utilize computer software for research and daily tasks
- Provide training to junior technicians and coordinate support staff
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong organizational and technical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of document management systems and software
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Working Conditions
The Documentation Center Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The technician will be required to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
