Job Title: Wholesale Buyer

We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team at NOVA SCOTIA LIMITED. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing merchandise for resale, negotiating prices and discounts with suppliers, and overseeing the distribution of merchandise to our outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of merchandise.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to maximize value for our company.
  • Review requirements of our establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring that it meets our quality and pricing standards.
  • Oversee the distribution of merchandise to our outlets, ensuring that it is delivered on time and in good condition.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or supply chain management.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as wholesale buying or procurement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
Work Environment:

As a Wholesale Buyer at NOVA SCOTIA LIMITED, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to sit for long periods of time and have good attention to detail.
