Position Overview
The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the implementation of advanced drug distribution systems across the healthcare network. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality and safety of medication management within the organization.
Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy Services, the incumbent will be responsible for integrating drug distribution strategies within the broader medication management framework as outlined in strategic and operational plans. As a key member of the Pharmacy Management Team, the Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to staff and other Drug Distribution Managers, while also handling various administrative duties as assigned.
The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor is accountable for the overall management of drug distribution processes, emphasizing continuous quality improvement and patient safety. The role involves building collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient drug distribution services.
Experience- A minimum of three (3) years in a management or leadership capacity is essential.
- Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Must be recognized as a Pharmacy Technician by the relevant regulatory body.
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent training is required.
- Participation in a management training program is advantageous.
- Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician registration.
- Membership in professional pharmacy associations is preferred.
- Proven ability to think creatively and make informed decisions in complex situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with peers, subordinates, and clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to manage urgent situations effectively.
- Must be able to travel to various locations as required and possess a valid driver's license.
