About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at SM WESTERN CONSTRUCTION INC. as a Construction Assistant. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and may involve exposure to dusty environments.

Physical Demands
  • This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment are required for this role.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 32 to 35 hours per week.

Language and Communication

The primary language of communication for this role is English.
