About the Role

ESAC Electrical & Systems Advanced Control Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing complex power systems studies, designing and developing electrical power systems, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct power systems studies, including short-circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, ground grid, and cable ampacity studies, as well as power quality and harmonics studies.
  • Develop and implement protective relay configurations, settings, testing, and reports.
  • Define and budget power system studies for utility and generation applications and markets.
  • Conduct system field research, analysis, and development, including specifications, detailed technical design, fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and reports.
  • Model and optimize equipment design to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders on technical issues within their scope of deliverables.

Requirements

  • Ontario-registered Professional Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power systems analysis, design, and development for turn-key solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in power system analysis software (ETAP, EDSA, and EasyPower), AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy in work, and solid organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and project leadership capabilities, willingness to mentor team members.
