Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

The Heavy Duty Road Technician is responsible for conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on equipment at customer sites. This position aims to minimize downtime through effective and safe service delivery. The equipment serviced includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialized machinery such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment. When not engaged in field service, the technician will assist in the shop. Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or equivalent training is preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a technician with diesel, heavy construction, or specialty equipment is highly desirable
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary

Physical Requirements

This role involves physical activities such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting weights of 50 pounds or more. The technician may be required to work both indoors and outdoors based on job demands.
