Job Overview

Magna, a leading automotive supplier, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Polycon Industries. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing paint and assembly equipment to ensure seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment, including moulding and paint and assembly automated systems.
  • Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance procedures, including rebuilds and overhauls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment on a daily basis as needed.
  • Assist in the assembly and installation of equipment.
  • Weld and fabricate components as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to complete all required work orders and associated documentation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to 5S standards and company policies.
  • Mentor mechanical apprentices as assigned.

Requirements

  • Millwright Certificate of Qualification 443A.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, automated cells, robotics, conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, cranes, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with ancillary equipment, such as chillers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, and compressors.
  • Mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge of PLC, control systems, and robot programming (an asset).
  • Ability to work shift work and extended hours as required.
  • Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong commitment to safety and prioritizing it in all duties.
