About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team at A&V Flooring. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered to ensure they are clean, dry, and free of debris. Prepare surfaces by removing old flooring, cleaning, and applying underlayment as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Flooring Materials: Measure and cut flooring materials to the correct size and shape for installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, and other types of flooring, according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Employ Specialized Equipment: Use specialized equipment, such as knee kickers and stretchers, to ensure a tight and secure fit.
  • Work in a Variety of Settings: Work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial locations, to install flooring materials.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in flooring installation, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment, requiring the ability to lift heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Language and Communication: Fluency in English and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
